Right, that wasn’t aimed at this game in particular, but a lot of games in the genre. The levels in Megaman were linear but you could choose to do the bosses in any order you wanted, power ups worked better on certain bosses. There were a lot of elements from the Megaman games that made it into these games too but they don’t really get the same credit idk. I suppose Megametroidvania is a bit of a mouthful.
