I just started playing (literally; at character creation now) and I am wondering if making him like a D&D cleric would be good for the first time, focusing on Str, con, and wis. 🤔
I mean, I need to go for Str at least. I don’t wanna be accused of being afraid of women or not caring about quests.
Esoteric Ebb is every inch as good as Disco Elysium. The writing’s solid, the world-building is too deep, and whatever passes for encyclopedia in Esoteric Ebb is incredibly full of autistic misunderstandings.

I’m right there with ya, and completely agree with your take on the compendium. Hell, there’s even an achievement for clicking on highlighted text 10x in the internal monologue (loredump) chat. 😂
I wish I was in a place to enjoy Disco Elysium. By all accounts it should be right up my alley, but between its vibe’s similarity to the state of the world and being a father to young children I have failed to engage with it numerous times now.
Maybe try Esoteric Ebb then! I’ve been enjoying it in the same was as Disco, but the settings and vibes are quite different
I just discovered Esoteric Ebb this week and I’m really excited about it. Unfortunately I am stuck to console for the time being. We will see what the steam machine looks like when it officially releases. I’m hoping that will be able to bring me back into the PC market.
