Are there any good news even lately. Every day I wake up to a new CVE, the list of things in the post title isn’t encouraging either.
The good news is that we’re here having this conversation because we care and we’re trying. Someone has to.
CVEs mean the issues are getting found and fixed instead of sitting on a three letter agency arsenal.
and all the end-user has to do is update.
I agree, but it does not make my job any easier trying to keep up with fixing systems that management refused to update before.
well, it’s our job. (and management can have the broken systems they wanted to, see if i care)
Serbia recently democratically ousted their fascist leadership and are in the process of replacing it with people from a curated list of teachers and professionals that students have spent the last few years compiling via open democratic debate.
They’re making a technocracy? Cool!
There’s something interesting, if not encouraging:
There are good news too, but those doesn’t NEED to be told to everyone. A CVE is very important to get it out as fast and to many possible. But if something good happens, it doesn’t have the urgency and need to reach everyone in short possible time. Plus bad news are for most people more interesting and get you clicks too, just to add to the fuel. And Ai doesn’t help with that either.
Therefore its only natural that we see more bad news than good news.
