Companies are not your friends, there’s nothing to “forgive”. Companies are motivated by profit, not goodwill.
That said, I think the initial reception was a bit blown out of proportion and anyone who avoids playing this out of spite is an idiot and missing out because it’s a great game ( and has been, since the first paches rolled out in 2020 ).
I played the game through after the Phantom Liberty expansion and I had the most fun I have had with a game in a long time. I played through three times with different endings, the amount of ending variation was truly incredible. Great RPG, great storytelling, and great gameplay. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes ARPG.
I would only play an hour or two after work because I have a big family and lots of responsibilities. It took me about a month per playthrough. I would say minimum 30 hours but more like 50 if you take your time.
Yes, I didn’t mention this but, I decided to stop playing after my third playthrough. It was actually a bit of an emotional decision and I missed playing because I had spent so much time enjoying the game over three or so months. That is how I knew it was a good game.
CD project red never forgot how bad they launched this game. They’ve been making up for it all this time. It’s time you considered forgiving them.

goodwill can be exchanged for profit, people won’t be as willing to preorder a game if they don’t have any goodwill towards the company.

How long does it take for a play through?

Awesome, thanks! I want to give this game a try but it’s tough to commit to with limited time for gaming. 😕
I felt a genuine lack when it was over.
