For gaming this is completely viable. I am running a 5070, an 5950x and 64 Gigs of DDR4 and play on 1440p, and haven’t yet had any title which i couldn’t run maxed out or close to it in graphics quality. Without Framegen, i am pretty much always at least above 60 FPS in the most demanding titles on the market, which framegen can then push to a comfortable 90+ if wanted. Anything a bit older or simply not so demanding i normally have to limit the frame rate so i do not waste a bunch of power.

IMO they should resurrect Optane for AI use cases. I’d really prefer this to be contained to niche SSD than general RAM
