They probably should have made it actually work on PC if they wanted it to sell. Now that I’ve skipped it because it was poorly optimized and they kept not fixing it, it is officially in the “maybe buy on sale after whatever expansion they do” bucket. Iirc it also has denuvo which is a hard pass for single player games. I might would forgive it on something online like monster hunter but it’s still another negative point on the “will I buy it” chart

Well, very much against the grain of comments here so far, I’m going to say I loved it and recommend it. Performance was rough, but has improved. It’s still not where I’d like it to be, but it doesn’t impact my enjoyment of the game.

A lot of awesome improvements. Love the new monsters. Maps were very fun to explore. I like this open world esque style of Monster Hunter more than the traditional ones, for what it’s worth.

I’ve played Tri, Gen, 4U, World, Rise, and Wilds and I think Wilds is my favourite of them all. Really excited for the expansion.

I still might buy it (on a hefty sale) but I frankly enjoy the mobility of Rise. Not the dog riding, or riding in general, or dogs (but I get to have an army of cats) but I do like the Wiredash gimmick. Being a Hunting Horn player especially it’s nice to have a gap closer.

I still have World too and judging from what people are saying, I may as well move on (back) to that one once I get bored with Rise.

I will wait the inevitable expansion DLC, hoping they will also take the opportunity to fix the game performance. And even then, I will probably still wait for a sale (at least for the base game), specially considering it uses Denuvo (which I strongly oppose).

I don’t know how much it’s changed, but pc performance was terrible around launch. Not only that, the story of the game sucks, and forces unskippable exposition dump hallway simulator sections on you. Hope you make a better game next time, Capcom.
