I was really looking forward for this game but couldn’t believe how poorly the story was written. The mechanics and concept (both game and story diverging) are fantastic and well thought but they should have gotten someone skilled for the story. It’s just all over the place and really having a hard time to keep up with the mechanics.

Anyways, I mostly play for story and characters. So gameplay couldn’t save it u for me

Really? I didn’t play a lot, around 10h I guess, but the story seemed good until that point, nothing that innovative, but very internally consistent, and I’ve been hearing nothing but praises from people who finished the game. What was “all over the place” for you?

        Tap for spoiler

The main character’s (lack of) reactions that’s happening all around him. He’s was “ohh that’s interesting, another me” baffled me quite a lot. Somehow and old ex-partner (for no reason) joins for emotional hook in case the player needes. Ofc comms need an otakon guy to brief the nerdy stuff. Before the game player has been briefed that they were stranded without connection and on the second day you can basically phone in earth whenever. The newer clones you make at some point later on immediately gets working like Warcraft 3 grunts saying “yes milord” and starting doing something.

The concept is great. Cloning yourself. Time line mechanic and incremental building is also well thought. I loved the circular weird ship too. But the story was dumbified to the hell. Or rushed.
