PlayStation announced that they will stop making disks. People are rightfully mad about this, but it's not actually about physical media. It's about owning your games.

I made a new blog post giving my thoughts on PlayStation not making disks anymore, and the arguments around it.

I personally don’t think most people care about physically owning media (and some people even suggested PC should start going back to physical). It’s more about digitally owning your games.

    Interesting, not something i have heard of before, but definitely something I need to look into.

    I emulate older console games, and assume there is the possibility that they are all I will be able to access one day.
