SlickAmogus released the first public version of an unofficial native PC version of the first Silent Hill game that came out on PSX in 1999.

    Worth noting, this is a mostly vibe-coded port. There is a separate no-AI port in the works called SilentEngine, but it is in a much earlier stage right now.

      It’ll be interesting to compare the end results of both. I imagine the human written code will be much better optimized
