This is absurd! Think of all the 486 cpus that will become EWASTE! LINUX HATES THE ENVIRONMENT!
/s in case not obvious.
The games industry is too greedy. Everyone just says that at AAA and charges the max price.
But some games are significantly bigger and better than others. I’m not paying 80 for Mario kart but I’d consider 80 for gta vi if it actually delivers a good game.
These two games are much different and only one is really worth the higher price tag.
Everyone just wants to sell their game as the ultimate experience.
I’m kind of done with modern gaming for the most part. It’s too big and bloated.
Give me better quality games and stop spending all the money on graphics. We actually need lower graphics games so we can run new games on older hardware.
This game looks really great. Too bad it’s not on pc.
I guess I’ll have to wait also, I’ll probably hope that an updated steamdeck gets released around the time of this game.
I’d rather build a new computer to play this game rather than get a console. But I think an i7-8700 with a new gpu should suffice.
It’s like the elf that helps the shoemaker at night.
Before I read the text, I was going to ask,
“Umm did they know you were doing it?” It would be funny if you just did it without asking leaving them wondering, “How the hell did this happen?”
Anyone test it on steamdeck?
Thanks for posting the update. I had a bunch of trouble with that when using arch on my thinkpad.
I later switched to Fedora with plasma as I could not get video acceleration to work in Firefox.
Thanks! I wasn’t even aware of them. I’ll check them out. Too bad they are ending though.
That is interesting. I was not aware of that.
I agree with you.
For my personal stuff, I am on Linux 100%.
I tried for a long time to put privacy first and Linux first everywhere. At some point, I realized that I am making my work so much more difficult using all these work arounds.
I am still waiting on a few things to come to Linux, once they do, I can try again. But I will keep using what works best for my work as earning a living needs to come first.
So, I would need 3 different s3 buckets? One for each system?
If that’s the case, I might go the raspberry pi in a relatives house route.
Thanks for reminding me to not buy the switch 2
I wish you luck on this. I also would like to learn more about this, but it’s not a priority for me. I just got a cheap vps and will use that for testing 😂
Like others have mostly said, Mint is a great choice.
All the different distros can basically all do the same things for the most part. The main differences between them are mostly philosophical and don’t matter to a new user.
Once you get comfortable with linux, you can easily switch to a different distro if you get annoyed with something.
For now, just choose a popular distro that you think has a nice user interface.
I think mint, popos, and Ubuntu are all great choices.
I’m at the point where I am only interested in handheld gaming.
The only reason I’d buy a dedicated gpu these days is to run AI stuff locally.
Also want to add that you can add a non-steam .exe and install some windows applications too, not just games. After installing you just remove the installer from steam and point Steam towards the installed applications .exe
Just make sure to tell Steam to use proton to run it. By default, it does not turn that on.
You will not be able to access Jellyfin with Apple relay turned on unless you open ports on your router to access Jellyfin from outside of your house. That’s true even if your in you own home WiFi.
When they were talking about a vpn, they meant that you would be connected to your own vpn server in your home and that Jellyfin is connected to the same vpn.
