I still hoped they’d try to apply it broadly, if only to see the outcome of Ageless Linux

It’s probably a reasonable price for the tech, but it’s kind of annoying to see VR get less affordable over time. I couldn’t justify buying the Valve Index just to play a handful of VR games, and I certainly can’t justify this.

It’s not as if Canonical hasn’t already enshittified. I don’t think going public is going to change that much.
