I use physical drives that I backup and swap weekly. I’m not a business and this is good enough for the things I want to save, in case everything goes BOOM! I was probably one of the first to say “A Cloud? That would be just someone else’s computer. Why would you store your valuable data in somebody else’s computer? That makes no sense!”

Makes no sense. If you ban windows it makes it harder to snipe a school shooter. /s

Keep artificially raising those prices and you’ll soon find that the “demand” has shifted to something else entirely. The whole world, it seems, is pricing customers out of the market. How does that make sense (unless you are going for dependence and reliance upon the government)? My new mantra is “bring back filing cabinets and stationery”, it’s cheaper and uses less electricity and paper.

Train yourself on the tech and you’ll be able to contribute more. Also, you are contributing greatly already by making posts like this.

They lost me at $499. A phone that is just a phone should be about a hundred bucks max. I didn’t read the article though. Maybe it’s still very computery.

I prefer trade paperbacks over the initial first-run hardcovers because they are easier to carry around. I will carry around a big old heavy hardcover if there is no paperback though. The only drawback with this is, sometimes there is not enough light to read, and the book machines provide that.

I hope to avoid the apocalypse, Armageddon and black Friday but I know I must eventually succumb to time.

I use Plex to save money on plumbers because I cannot solder. Plex gives me the ability to exact repairs myself.

I tried it but I prefer “Comet” for the tough jobs. /s

Wow. Not too transparent are they? RAM prices go up worldwide. Microsoft - “We need you to buy more RAM to successfully run are mostly unnecessary, bloated crap”.

I’ve always though that the more popular linux becomes, the more vulnerabilities it will expose.

They should publish an add-on and call it “Mister Ed”.
