Deciding om what is the best distro
I turn those off in every game and this has nothing to do with those. I don’t play Warframe.
Turn off what? The whole game?
I’m not talking about performance or optimization. This game has nice art style that is ruined by how terribly rendered it is. Flickering, shimmering, cascading, etc… absolutely EVERYWHERE.
Good luck with that. The game has terrible rendering issues. Enjoy it for its gameplay.
Dad, you forgot to take your meds again!
I think I’ve actually touched CD/DVD for the last time in 2012/2013… I should be fine
They also limit you by installing some stuff you’d like to get working. It’s a double edge sword. I’m not saying you can’t get around it but for newbie it can be a big hurdle.
I just use regular Fedora 42 Workstation and it works without issues. Bazzite is basically gaming focused Fedora 42 Silverblue (immutable) but I personally don’t like immutability.
CachyOS is worth a try as well, that’s a gaming focused Arch distro, though I just like Fedora too much and didn’t enjoy using CachyOS
Honestly though, any of those will work fine for you, especially if you have no point of reference to compare in between them.
“According to MLID…”… Ok, base article on a YTuber that has new ridiculous rumours for each 8 day of the week
Will give that a try tommorrow. Thanks for suggestion I had no idea ffmpeg can do this
Yes, it’s Gnome Software. Discover = Gnome Software… the default app finder that comes with the OS once you install it. It’s not like I’ve installed a different app searcher for some reason.
By the way. AFter fresh install I’ve installed GSConnect directly from extensions and it immediatelly shows up in the menu by default. The GSConnect from Discover store shows as not installed. Also nowhere in the Discover store it says it’s an extensions.
They really need to make this more clear tbh, it’s very confusing for people who never used it.
I’ve already reinstalled and set up everything :)
I did check the history btw, it was not there at all. And there were only 16 lines as well so it’s not like I’ve overlooked it.
So got GSConnect to work… I had to also enable it in Extension manager for some reason. I had no idea it’s an extension since I’ve just i stalled it as RPM package from the discover store.
Anyhow, it’s just confusing. I was installing KDE Connect on both my PC and laptop. I never even heard of GSConnect until I started troubleshooting and I thought it’s just some GNOME fork of KDE-Connect, not actually a mandatory replacement for KDE-Connect on GNOME.
It may make sense in the name but the name makes it even more confusing. Since it works on Android/Windows,… Why would I not assume it will work on Linux GNOME?
But thanks, I found GS conncect in the Extension manager… Why the hell is it even there? Anyhow, it works. But the fact I cant uninstall KDE Connect now drives me crazy… Time for fresh system install I guess… Again
I cant even uninstall KDE-connect now. Even via terminal it doesn’t work.
Error: org.kde.desktop is not installed. Is it really required to have KDE Desktop?
The bacground app is Amberol btw
I experience the same thing every time I decide to try KDE on any distro.
