Yeah no hate towards grub, because it doesn’t get too much breakful versions, but it’s a bootloader after all. Systemd boot works just fine for me, although I miss the customization aspect of it, but that’s what rEFInd is for.
Just your average quirky thigh-high socks enjoyer programmer. :3

I did break my endevaourOS after I was unlucky enough to upgrade when grub got a huge non-bootable bug and probably there may have been some app bugs since which are minor tbh. Like currently I can’t run the bauh app, because it misses “bauh” in the python packages (lol).
I had a Linux beginners class at my HS in 10th grade but I’ve forgot about Linux, until 12th grade when 2 of my really nerdie friends started shilling Linux to me, especially pointing out that now you can play windows games on Linux, and not too long after I eventually did the jump when starting my comp sci uni (19 years old) with Manjaro as a first, but I have found happiness in EndevaorOS due to Manjaro being unstable.
What’s Synaptic? I have once contributed to bauh, so I might include that if it’s a simple feature.
It’s absolutely mindblowing that they still support the good old oneplus 6.
Ahh I feel the temptation to upgrade. Must…resist. The voices are becoming louder, but the will is still strong
Dell laptops are usually pretty good in Linux support afaik so go with whatever you like.
Agreed! I use EOS but I have to keep a dual boot setup mostly because of VR. ALVR is extremely buggy and slow for me whereas Envision easily starts but has a -10-20FPS and might crash in 10+ people VRChat instances
