4 hours agoIf you’ve never tried it before, Dot Age is a fun little time sink made by an Indie dev. It’s a city builder people/resource management type game where you’re trying to build a successful village to survive a coming apocalypse. You have to plan ahead and deal with upcoming ‘bad events.’ A run is like 5-6 hours long and there is a lot of variety between runs thanks to building variants, etc.
In case you didn’t already know, the FFXIV developers added a system called ‘Trusts’ that let you bring AI companions into the dungeons instead of having to play with randoms. They’re usually based on the party members you have with you at that point in the game. I originally didn’t like playing with people either, so I was glad to have the option.
(Though I ended up meeting a random nice lady who liked books who invited me to a free company, so later on I ended up enjoying the social parts more since I didn’t have to deal with randoms.)
