Do you have an actual point beyond accusing communists of being mentally disabled?

Lenin and Stalin were both communists. Both Lenin and Stalin were supported democratically as well. Trying to dismiss communists by claiming we are all brain damaged is deeply ableist.

Russia is only critically supported by communists for its objective material opposition to the current imperialist hegemony by the US. The idea that communists can only support communists is a bit reductive, communists support the international working classes and their liberation. This means supporting elements that weaken the primary world contradiction right now, US imperialism. Obviously communists would prefer Russia turn socialist, but that does not change that it is still playing a progressive role in undermining the US.

Socialism takes advanced, industrial production beyond the profit motive and into a consciously planned and pro-social direction. You can have industrial scale without having capitalism.

It’s a communist KDE flag, and it follows suit with other communist flags.

Communism and FOSS have large overlaps.

I’d say it’s the baseless projection of the crimes of western empire onto any possible alternative. This attitude has roots in chauvanism, the whole “if it wasn’t the Americans doing it, it would be the Chinese!” completely butchers any sense of materialist analysis surrounding why the massacres happened under the US Empire, and foregoes any reasoning why China would do the same in favor of the idea that “big country bad.”

Many Lemmy instances have their own focus, themes, vibe, knowledge, culture, and more. Searching exclusively within local is useful for that. If you want broad federation, then Lemmy.world is ironically worse than instances like Lemmy.ml, because Lemmy.world blocks leftist instances like Hexbear.net and Lemmygrad.ml. Lemmy.world is basically Reddit but FOSS, with all the good and bad that comes with that, while other instances are genuinely unique and interesting by themselves. Federation is just a bonus that adds variety and more engagement.

No? Anti-capitalism and anti-liberalism isn’t based in dehumanization, but liberation. Opposing existing socialism usually relies on chauvanistic viewpoints eliminating any capacity for agency and self-determination in these democratically run countries by reducing them to “dictatorships,” as you say. Honest evaluation of socialism reveals comprehensive democratic structures, so to obfuscate that anti-communists rely on narratives like “brainwashing” to explain away popular support.

Your comments aren’t anti-dictatorship or anti-genocide at all, they’re just naked opposition to communists. That’s it. There’s no nuanced critique, just repeated bad-faith behavior like accusing users of having alts, or your own sexual harassment of other users.

Anti-communism is overwhelmingly tied to chauvanism, western exceptionalism, and dehumanization of the global south, so it’s tied in with “no xenophobia.”

No idea, I didn’t ban you, but rule 1 is used in general for things like sexual harassment and dogmatic anti-communism.

The overwhelmimg majority of your comments seems to be complaining about communists, accusing others of being alts, or sexual harassment, so I doubt it was unintentional.
