Have you checked serverpartdeals? They normally have good prices on refurbished and recertified drives
Why are you encoding a file that’s already been encoded?
Why are you compressing a file that’s already been compressed?
Immich
I plan to use immich just what’s the difference between latest and next on their site? Is next the like beta testing?
This is what I did. Once Firefox did something and wiped my passwords from sync only way I got them back was I had an old laptop I didn’t use often that was synced to my account. Now I use keepass that’s saved locally and a backup on my nas & flashdrive.
Source?
But if you don’t have it connected to internet it works as intended. It says so in the article. So unless they force you to connect to internet to switch inputs it’s nbd if you never have it connected to internet at all.
Yep that works great also!
Which TV doesn’t let you change source without being connected to WiFi? Cause whatever brand that is you just don’t buy it. Also never heard of any of the major brands doing that at all
I don’t connect mine to internet and just use an Apple TV for all the apps I want. Why would you use the TV apps they are always pretty shitty in my experience. Also they can’t get your data if it isn’t connected to the web.
Thank you for all the info. I am running plex off an intel nuc my NAS is just storing all the files for it. So cpu for the actual NAS can be either or tbh.
And I think I’m going to self build and search more on here for what other people did and for any more questions I may have!
Ah I’ll have to see then. HD isn’t that much of an issue to get. Really the hardware and software to run a new NAS will be the most difficult thing for me. Since it isn’t my expertise and I’m still learning.
Yeah that makes sense. Do you have any recommendations on a DIY or non synology specific system?
Okay then I’d have to buy 4 more 12TB drives to transfer it all over. Good to know.

I have a synology I bought 3rd party ram (not synology) and it works fine. Same with drives just bought some seagate drives. Probably going to upgrade from a 4 bay to a 12 and I don’t see compatibility of ram being an issue. I just don’t feel like building a whole racked system I just want to plug and play and forget. As of now tho only thing I lose is warranty cause I’m using not “certified” ram and drives.
AI, get a load of this guy using buzzwords.
As others have said you don’t need the /api at the end.
