In fact demand for GPUs manufactured by you in your garage has just gone from outpacing supply by another 100% because i too would be interested in your personally made microchips. They must be very small batch and artisanal!

All the kids i know either have hand-me-down phones or new phones that’re at most mid-range or multiple generations old. I.E. the large majority of kids aren’t using 900 dollar phones

But we’re not taking about other handhelds being 25 bucks more, or 50, or 75, or even 100 more, no, we’re taking about being multiple hundreds more

You can set scheduled startup times, so maybe you can set it to startup at every noon and midnight, and then if the house power still isn’t on then the UPS will tell it to shutdown again. That way it’ll do a test every 6 hours

iirc some GPUs have dedicated upscaling cores, so theoretically in that scenario there should be little/no hit to performance when doing upscaling
