ScreenGuard is not just a window monitoring application, it is also an app limit enforcer

I made ScreenGuard primarily for myself with one thing in mind: Make an application which will allow me to control my screen time and lock me out of an application if daily Quota is hit.

The application is currently limited to X11 and wayland on GNOME only however KDE and cinnamon are slated for development.

Some Key features

  • Visual Dashboard with per application time tracking
  • Graphical history of entire past month(30 days) kept into DB and used for average calculation as well
  • Focus mode locks out applications not needed during work and serve as distraction
  • Daily app limiter to control how much an application is used per day

Please feel free to contribute as this project needs several more improvements and doing it alone is a long tedious process…so if you feel that it’s worth it do contribute as I don’t want to contaminate the code base by using llm for code base and adding any code…it’s the philosophy of this project: AI for basic debugging or assistance only
