    The only internet-connected 32-bit device I own is a PowerBook G4 running MorphOS. I have an OG raspberry pi that controls a model lighthouse that we have for decoration.

    In my old house I had two pi zero W:s with IR-HATs that turned on the air conditioning when they saw my phone nearby over Bluetooth. I’d still run those if I lived there.

        I can’t recall where I got them. Probably the cheapest stuff off of eBay or Amazon. Looks like adafruit has one, too.

        The original remote for my Panasonic units sends all the settings over IrDA, so I only had to record and replay the commands to turn it on and off.
