if you want to launch a thing from X/wayland, maybe consider getting a run box. there are plenty of options. your desktop environment may already have one.

ion3 (notion since the original project got abandoned) for a wm, but really, just terminals and a browser, in a tiling wm. when i say the UI is better, i mean the shell. with all its warts, it’s still ahead of everything else ever made.

the UI is incomparably better. the error messages are much more sensible and give you a chance to fix things.

no, i think azerty takes the absolute cake, but the german layout is also dogshit. it’s qwertz for one, which is shit. and the placement of { [ ] } are absurd.

and it’s not necessary that these languages have shit layouts. look at the polish programmer’s layout, that’s a sane way to add extra letters.

yeah, i was really tired of win98SE when i switched to linux. just entirely over it.

but why not just use ext4, which isnt buggy?
